Q. Was sport the main inspiration for this new group of sculptures?
A. I’m inspired by movement and these now pieces do overlap with athletic movement as I was commissioned to create a Diving Girl for our Olympic Village.
Jill is currently displaying a selection of her work at the S&D Gallery in Kensington, London. The exhibition showcases Jill’s work in varying mediums, interpreting the human body and its movement.

Diving Girl sculpture inspires athletes at the Olympic Village
The 3.5m bronze sculpture ‘Diving Girl’, by leading sculptor Jill Berelowitz, is one of the artworks inspiring residents at the Olympic Village.
Inside The Globe – the ‘bar with no beer’ – athletes from every corner of the world are playing noisy games of pool and table football, or quietly checking their emails over a soft drink. Outside, on the patio, others are lounging in deck chairs enjoying the evening sun, or laughing with new-found friends across a giant chess board. In the Plaza at the heart of the Olympic Village, away from the pressures of training and competition, the atmosphere is laid-back and informal – and the residents are loving it.
